Daily Pattern: Jasmine Flowers

There are three kinds of flowers that I love to eat/drink (consume?) The first favorite of these is lavender. I almost did a pattern about lavender, then I realized I already did one. The next favorite is jasmine and the third is rose. So I sat down with a pot of (jasmine) tea and made this pattern.

Daily Pattern: Autumn Leaves

I had some email trouble, so the lateness for this pattern is completely my fault. Ira had created her botanical, fall-inspired pattern right on time.

“Today in Odessa was the first autumn rain. That means that summer is over, and I'm a little sad. But I decided to draw something that I like about autumn -- the colorful leaves are like a carpet lay on the ground.”

Daily Pattern : Burst

The heading of this post perfectly describes the feeling I have. It's the end of the week (sort of) and I feel like I've been pushed to the max. It's not that I haven't enjoyed it, it's more that I am getting ready for some major things this week and it's a lot to handle at once! I am teaching class tomorrow which will be a blast, so I am welcoming that with open arms. Does it ever seem like the older you get, the faster time passes? Someone told me that once and for some reason I'm believing it. I also think that the internet might have something to do with that feeling. Just a hunch.

Also - what's up with all this old talk all over the place!? Hm...

Daily Pattern: Blue Flowers

I know everyone but me is probably super pumped about 'botanical' being today's topic. I had to think hard to be inspired. I finally got the idea for this pattern when I remembered one of my favorite jams, Blue Flowers by Dr Octagon (aka Kool Kieth & Dan the Automator). So I made some dark, hazy blue flowers.

PS. I cannot believe the album Blue Flowers was on, Dr. Octagonecologyst, came out in 1996. It seems like just a couple years ago. Waaa I'm so old. I am a skeleton made of dust.

Daily Pattern : Vegetable Gardening

Next week starts the beginning of our crop share! We're buying from Turnip Rock Farm and we can't wait to start it. Chris, Francesca and I will be hauling a whole bushel of goods to the studio every week. I'm thinking we're going to have to learn how to cook one of these days. (I guess I should speak for myself - Chris, Francesca, I'm sure you're great cooks) I'm thinking we'll get to eat some of these vegetables! I'm crossing my fingers!
