Daily Pattern : Infinite Snake

Man, that's a long bunch of snakes. Where do they end? Do I even want to know?

Daily Pattern: Tempted

I'm currently reading the book Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. If you're not familiar with it, one of the two main characters is called "Crawley" spends at least the very first part of the story in a garden.
I did think of Good Omens when I came up with my idea for this pattern, though the idea really stemmed from another famous book with a snake and a garden.

Daily Pattern: Snake? SNAAAAAAAAKE!

I was all set to draw some wicked-bad snakes when I jokingly mentioned to Francesca that I should do a Metal Gear Solid pattern (Solid Snake being the main character). After all, Metal Gear is a favorite franchise of everyone here at Paper Bicycle. I think two out of the three of us have a crush on Otacon...

Anyway, once it was said there was no taking it back. I had to do it.

One thing about Snake is, he loooooves boxes. Ever since the beginning, box-hiding has been an integral part of the Tactical Espionage Action. And later, in Metal Gear Solid 4, barrel-hiding was added to the mix. Innovation!

This pattern makes perfect sense to those familiar with the franchise. Everyone else is probably very confused.

Daily Pattern: Friendly Snakes

I found my cozy fall color inspiration for my pattern on pinterest (friend me if you're on there!) and since most of the snakes are fairly wide, I think it's safe to say they are well-fed and wouldn't hurt a hair on your head. All they want to do is lie there completely flat and look pretty. (or in the squiggly patterned snake's case--imitate the snake shoe horn at IKEA ;)

Daily Pattern: Snakes and Ladders

I used to love playing snakes and ladders for a rainy day activity as a child. It's been raining all day today but i'm at work so can't play board games booooo! Here's a speedy lunch time pattern anyway!
