Alyssa had the best idea about doing a Beyoncé pattern, and I sort of still just want to finish the Beyoncé illustration I started (that would have been a pattern), but I suppose Beyoncé would approve of some wedding rings, anyway.
Here's a quick little pattern I created for today's wedding theme. It was inspired by my love of wedding paper goods! I love the all the DIY wedding stuff that's so popular right now, especially the little banners on toothpicks - when I get married I definitely plan to make use of these! I also want a make your own hot dog bar - a girl can dream, can't she?
The time is almost near and these guys are going to be walking down the aisle soon! They're making sure their hair looks nice and that their outfits fit properly. Minerva's characters are getting ready for their 'big day' and they're taking one last look in the mirror before taking their vows!
I made a super light blue pattern, but when I saw how light Francesca and Lindsay's patterns were, I switched it to a darker blue. Maybe it's too dark for most wedding occasions?
I'm not sure why both Lindsay and I decided on blue, anyway. After all, our own wedding was decidedly orange and pink. Also, it was an old-school dance par-tay. But you don't' have to take my word for it!
When I think of weddings I still think of loads and loads of white. My wedding was a little more insane: with pinks, oranges and reds! I wanted to make something that seemed a little delicate and a little lacy. It seems like the perfect season to get married! Do you know anyone tying the knot this summer? Please tell them 'Congratulations' for me!
Express your love with food, my friends. I was pleasantly surprised by today's topic because I already had a whole bunch of ideas for wedding patterns. I decided to go with my favorite, which is the kind-of-whimsical food-related one.
