Daily Pattern: Disco Ball
I'm attempting a little catch-up on those patterns that I've dropped the last few weeks (months?) A disco ball was one of things on my brainstorm list for "Dance Club". When I thought about it a little more, I decided the best thing about a disco ball is the incredible spectrum of colors that happen in different environments. It's also one spectacular example of what relative color can do. This pattern is another one that's more "disco ball inspired" than "disco ball".

Daily Pattern: Elderly Prom
A while back I did an editorial illustration for an article about this "Elderly Prom" that a high school in Texas would host every year. All of the students would get together & hit up retirement homes, bingo parlors & Pick N' Saves asking peoples of a certain age out on dates. The imagery has always stuck with me & this seemed like a perfect opportunity to re-explore those themes, while giving me an excuse to listen to the Footloose soundtrack.

Daily Pattern - Jitterbug
Cut a rug with these little bugs! Everyone in this bug-dance-club is having a great time. They're all related, celebrating a bug-wedding reception! The bride and groom must have stepped out for pictures! Silly bugs, keep on dancing!

Daily Pattern: Taptaptap
I am in no way a dancer but I do like fancy jazz and tap shoes! They are possibly a little bit more mafia than jazz but nevermind!

Daily Pattern: These are the Breaks.
It's no secret that I've been known to cut a rug at a dance club or two. Give me some dusty breakbeats and some old school jams and I'm out on the floor in full effect. A good DJ is priceless!
