Daily Pattern: Cars a-Rockin'

As an old friend once confided in me late one night long ago, while lost in the madness & heat that is summer in Mexico. 'You know those hips don't lie And I'm starting to feel it's right.' !AND BOOM! In a sudden explosion of wolf fur and protein dust Danzig was gone, returning to what ever land from whence he came, leaving only these words of wisdom in his wake.

Daily Pattern: Elderly Prom

A while back I did an editorial illustration for an article about this "Elderly Prom" that a high school in Texas would host every year. All of the students would get together & hit up retirement homes, bingo parlors & Pick N' Saves asking peoples of a certain age out on dates. The imagery has always stuck with me & this seemed like a perfect opportunity to re-explore those themes, while giving me an excuse to listen to the Footloose soundtrack.

Daily Pattern: Balanced Breakfast Horror Show

Take a look through this kaleidoscopic arrangement of terror if you dare! Behold the madness, as the enraged spirit of Lord Frankenberry takes his revenge on the youth of a yesterday that belongs to someone else! See the evil as children are devoured by the very toys they love! Hear the maniacal laughter of this bitter strawberry as he feasts on a bowl of tears! Taste the rainbow of pain as you snack alongside a horror so palpable you would think it was super-sized!

Daily Pattern: South of the Border

We're proud to introduce Jason Norman as this week's Featured Friend! Jason is starting us off with Monday's pattern! We're so excited to share his work with you!
He's sent us two colorways for his first pattern and a couple words about it!:

"Growing up on the border of Mexico in the deep Southwest, only one style of boot has dominated my mind leaving little room for all else. No matter how far removed from home I find myself- Cowboy boots are always the first boot to come to mind. Back home these good ol' pie-kicking works of art are like snowflakes scattered across the desert, unique to the owner & craftsman- no two pair were ever alike no matter how similar."

"Covered in tightly knit patterns & ornate decorations, every real pair of cowboy boots is hand made from stitching to staining & can take upwards of 100 hrs complete for highly detailed work. I wanted to capture that craft & the staggering variety of boot styles & classic vaquero designs within my pattern, choosing to create a dense houndstooth-styled arrangement to reinforce the limitless variations of boots in the wild."
