Happy Halloween!

Halloween_FromAlyssa_3

Happy Halloween everyone! While I know today is Halloween, it almost feels like it's over already! That's because the Paper Bicycle crew got in the spooky spirit on Saturday!

PaperBicycleHalloween

We decided to go as a gang of skeletons! No, not Cobra Kai, but close! Lindsay, Alyssa and I were joined by Adam and Jesse for a night of parties, dancing, tearing up the club and sweating... followed by more dancing in the streets!

Vote for Ryan!

The FWA (Favorite Website Award) is a great place to see some of the most creative and beautiful websites in the world. If a website is nominated for an award, it's then voted on by the community.

Our best-est friend Ryan Michlitsch, who works at Resource Interactive, concepted and designed The New Albany Classic website. It's a super slick, clean and fun site that's been nominated for an FWA! So vote for it!

newalbanyclassic

I know it would mean a lot for him to win, which would mean a ton to us! So do us a favor and vote for it here!. You have to register to vote, but it's a site you should probably frequent anyway!

EDIT: Also vote at the Awwwards! He's blowin' up!

Chronicle Books - Pitch for Charity

Screen shot 2010-12-01 at 2.35.12 AM

It's late and I'm up working on our submission to a very special event.
Chronicle books (one of the best publishers of my favorite books EVER) is hosting an event in San Francisco called "Chronicle Books' Pitch For Charity.

You head to their corporate office, stand in line, and you pay $10 for ten minutes of an Editor's time. You Pitch your book idea for five minutes and they give you five minutes of feedback. The ten dollars goes to Habitat for Humanity, so whatever happens, you've done good.

We're flying Chris down there to pitch our new book idea. Everyone in the office has worked on this project at one point or another. Robin and Mary have been HUGE helps in scanning, ordering, filing, placing, making, doing... almost everything up to this point. (Thank you so much, ladies!!)

Next Wednesday is the day we see how it goes!

If you happen to be in the area - or if you have a book and feel the need to fly out and try your luck at the publishing lottery, you should!

I feel like these chances don't happen enough, so we're going to give it all we've got and see what happens! Wish us luck!

(Images to follow after our meeting!)
