Here is a pattern inspired by the illustrations inside those books. Every book had a map, and every chapter had a funny black and white drawing of one of the themes from the book. The books I have now are from my grade school days and are all yellowed and fragile. I guess that's the sign of a good one. Books for the ages!

ReplyDeleteI was so sad when I heard that Jacques passed away a month or so ago. Redwall was such a huge part of my childhood, and Jacques always managed to release the new ones right around my birthday so I've been getting the books every year for a long time.
Hi Caitlyn - Best books ever, right!? :) I was sad, too, Brian Jaqcues was a great writer and a huge contributor to my childhood nostalgia!
